Red Pearl Stories: Founded on Music, Built for Cinema

Red Pearl Stories was born not out of ambition, but out of artistic evolution. Founded by Sushanta Kashyaap—a name celebrated in the Indian music industry—this production house is an extension of a decades-long journey through melody, rhythm, and emotion. With roots deeply grounded in music, our transition into cinema comes naturally, passionately, and purposefully.

Behind the name Sushanta Kashyaap is Sushanta Mahanta (Official Name), a singer, music producer, music director and owner of two recording studios named “Juke Box,” located in Dibrugarh and Jorhat, Assam. with an illustrious career spanning over two decades.

My professional musical journey began in 2002 with the Assamese blockbuster album “Gagori”, a project that not only captured hearts in Assam but also resonated across India.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of creating and contributing to several acclaimed albums including:

  • “Lorali” (2003)

  • “Uroni” (2004)

  • “Aaina” (2005)

  • “Sokupani” (2006)

  • “Tumi Nuxuna Gaan”, “Gaan”, and the Nepali hit “Urbouli”, which became a sensation in Nepal

  • “Dil Nehi Waha” (2022) for B4U Music

As a music director, I’ve scored films like “Why”, “Mouli”, “Pratiddhwani”, “Sokupani”, “Rodali”, “Park Street Avenue” and “Sajag” (a Hindi film in the making), blending emotion with sound to shape cinematic experiences.

With a versatile vocal portfolio of over 2,000 songs sung in languages such as Assamese, Hindi, Bengali, Nepali, Karbi, Bodo, Odia, and more—my music has touched people across cultures and geographies.

As a music producer, I’ve worked on more than 1,000 projects, including:

  • Super hit song “Paisa Paisa Karta Hain” from the film De Dhana Dhan

  • Punjabi chartbuster “Chak Galasi” sung by Shaan

  • BBC UK top-ranking hit “Naach” by Stereo Nation’s Taz

  • Recent contribution to the Assamese superhit film “Sikaar”

From Sound to Storytelling

With Red Pearl Stories, I am now channeling everything I’ve learned from the world of sound into the world of storytelling.

Our debut Hindi feature film “Natak – Ek Shastra”, directed by the internationally celebrated Sammeer Satiish, is not just a film—it’s a philosophical, performance-driven original story that marks the beginning of our cinematic expression.

Distributed by industry stalwart N. R. Sudhir of Vasupradha.com, a veteran with over 40 years of experience, this project symbolizes what Red Pearl Stories stands for: original ideas, deep collaboration, and an unwavering respect for the arts.

At Red Pearl Stories, we are committed to producing meaningful, rooted, and honest cinema. Whether you’re an artist, a technician, a storyteller, or a dreamer—if you believe in the power of soulful storytelling, we invite you to collaborate and create with us.

Let’s make stories that not only entertain—but endure.
